VintageFans.com was honored to have been featured in the August 2010 addition of Romantic Homes Magazine

The featured fan was an example of an unrestored 1912 circa Robbins and Myers oscillating desk fan with a natural aged patina. For those that like the rustic look, any of our desk fans can be purchased in their natural aged condition and with the VintageFans.com electrical/mechanical service or internal restoration, you can be assured your new "old" fan is ready for decades of service in the future, while looking as if it came right from the attic at grandma's.

In the May 2010 issue, Amy Elbert of Traditional Home magazine featured our 1915-16 circa antique Westinghouse 56" ceiling fan that we restored for designer Charlotte Lekakos and her guest bedroom creation for the Charity Works Greenhouse showcase home in McLean, Virginia. The fan featured a copper oxide matte finish and was completed with a set of vintage hand carved reclaimed custom blades that an unknown artisan hand carved for a Westinghouse many years ago. MS. Elbert also announced the Sweepstakes Give-A-Way of the same 1915 circa Westinghouse 56" antique ceiling fan which began on April 23, 2010 and runs through June 23, 2010. Enter here:

VintageFans.com supplied a 1915-20c. Dayton Type 500 antique ceiling fan for the new motion picture
THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. The fan used for the movie hailed from Wichita Falls, TX, surviving the April 10, 1979 F-4 tornado that devastated much of the city. The movie is adapted from the 1920s F.Scott Fitzgerald story about a man who was born old and grows young. Dade courtroom restored to its 1928 splendor.

Vintage Fans was honored to donate a custom restored 1910 Emerson Trojan 12" desk fan to the University of North Texas Emerald Ball Silent Auction.The sale of the  antique desk fan helped raise funds for the Emerald Eagles Scholars Program at UNT which benefits deserving financially challenged students."

VintageFans.com supplied a 1917 circa Westinghouse 56" Ceiling Fan for the movie "The Good Shepherd" similar to the one in our unrestored inventory as well as a 1945 circa Vornadofan Pedestal model.

Vintage Fans.com's Mark Neeley was interviewed for the April/May 2006 issue of OLD HOUSE INTERIOR'S article " Fanning Up A Breeze"  which includes a brief history of antique and vintage ceiling and desk fans.
